I've been having a bit of a problem with GalCiv II crashing, I hope you can help me resolve this becuase I really think this is an amazing and beautiful game and I want to be hooked on it, but I cannot seem to be able to play through a game without it ultimately crashing at some point.

I like to start a game with a Ginormous galaxy, Loose Clusters, and all the stars, planets, habitable planets, etc. at Abundant. I play with all the major races in as well. I always play this way because I for some reason cannot stand playing a galaxy any less epic than those settings provide. Everything will go well for 3-5 years in the game, when at some point during play the game inexplicably crashes. If I reload from a save point, it still crashes on the same date, even if I load from the Previous Autosave which is 6-11 weeks before the crash point, change everything I do, observe the computers do things different, and the game still crashes. I've looked at the Debug file but I never see anything at the end that says what happened.

If there's any more information needed to figure out what may be happening, I will gladly provide it. I've just got to play this game...and I've especially got to wipe out the Dominion of Korx, the past 3 races I've tried to play as in the hopes of avoiding the crash the Korx have always been an extreme nuisance, and I'd love to burn a corridor through their space and take their homeworld.
