Kryo's Hull Mod

Help me please,

I just recently updated to a new computer running win7. I installed GC2 and put Kryo's hull mod in. In only works part way. It will allow me to use a blank hull, but will not allow me to use a fake hull as a ship component. No fake hulls as jewelry are shown as options. How do I correct this?
