Walking Robot, Next Generation.

The Next Step

I put this in the "Personal Computing" Section because, well, it's got a lot to do with "Computing". Anyway, the next generation of intelligent walking machines has arrived. Check this out. Now This is Impressive. It won't be long before we'll be seeing viable models and military applications. Not too mention space exploration.

 How sweet is that? See Frogboy, when you get old and are ready for the big Frog-pond in the sky, you can just have your brain popped into one of these bad boys instead (it does kinda look like a little robotic Frog )

wow..been a while since anything like that came out
amazing just how fluid all the movement is, not to mention how it almost hits the uncanny valley with just how precise the placement of it's feet are.

How old is that video? Because Boston Dynamics, the company that made that LittleDog (the robot in that video), also has a much larger version, BigDog, that is designed for military use, specifically carrying heavy stuff over difficult terrain. http://www.youtube.com/BostonDynamics (How do you embed video, by the way?)

Grab the embed code and then edit out all the parts before AND after the word <embed> . Not too sure how old the one I posted is. I just caught it on College Humor and thought it was cool as hell. A lot of mathematics and technology went into that little thing. Hopefully Mechs and Gundams aren't far behind . Though if we use Mechs and Asians use Gundams....we're F'Kin toast if we go to war...lol.

Oh yeah, I can see it already....and we think the laws are bad now...wait till they are enforced by machines.

We should be okay since Japan's SDF isn't supposed to be deployed abroad except for peacekeeping missions. 

Besides, our military would be just fine... as long as we train our soldiers to avoid yelling "It's a Gundam!"
