Quite simply, EA just can't move them anymore and they're worth more as promo material, that's all it means.  I mean, they're some of the earlier members of the series now, with so many sequels and predecessors that they're not particular notable.  Smart move, really, long overdue even.

Wow, sounds great - I never got the chance to play C&C other than the PC demo and the xbox port (which was pretty poor), and it's so long since I played RA now.

Already got tiberium sun+firestorm but nice to have a backup incase my cds get scratched or the codes get lost!

 

Must admit I never would have expected this from EA.

Boo!!!!! They dont have Red Alert with the expansions. Saw this and got my hopes up.

Though I deeply loathe EA and it's a blatant PR move, they didn't need to do even this much.

Yeah, they released RA1 and expansions just in the months before they released RA3, sort of as a teaser.

I still have my RA1 complete set... somewhere around here...

Ah well maybe I miss read the site, I saw Red Alert but it didnt say it had its exapansions. *shurgs* its not big deal. I dug around and found my old CD's. Hehehe...sorry if I sounded ungrateful that I could of got it for free...its just RA1 is the only C&C that was good IMHO.

I had a friend in high school that was really into Tiberian Sun when it came out. I didn't have a computer back then and had never played an RTS game before, so I made him tell me all about it. We would look through the manual together and he would say how awesome GDI was, and I'd be like, "But Nod has stealth tanks! And flamethrower tanks! And are these things laser death ray towers?!"

I suspect I'm in for a huge disappointment, but I'm glad I finally get to play this game.

In my opinin this game had aged well. Just do not forget to open .ini file and change screen size to represent your resolution.

This is one of the last single-player oriented RTS`es.
