How to change language?

Hi,

My GalCiv installation is in German, but I want to play the game as designed, i.e. in English. How do I change the language setting of the game, preferrably without changing the OS language setting?

You actually have to go through and reinstall the game, either from disk or Impulse. The alternate language files are not installed on your system, so it's impossible to switch languages from within the game.

Thanks. I installed from CD and it didnt give me an option to change language. What exactly do I do to install it in english?
