I noticed earlier this week that Nero has released a free version of their Nero 9 software. I had tried Nero 7 and 8 in the past and found them full of programs that I'd never use. Rather bloated and slow so I reinstalled Nero 6 and everything was fine. Well, the other day, I saw that Nero had bought out a free version of 9 and I tried it on my Windows 7 machine and I must say I'm quite impressed. It only carries tools for burning and copying........but thats all I want so if you are looking for a basis cut down version of Nero........its available.......and free from Nero on the link below.

Many knowledgeable and creditable tech friends of mine use one of two utility programs to keep their machines lean and mean. Either TuneUp Utilities 2009 or jv16 Power Tools. I noticed today that Macecraft have bought out a cut down version jv16 for free. If you're in the market for something to keep your machine speedy and clean it could be something worth considering.
