I have Gal Civ II Gold that I want to install on my laptop.
However, I don't have any internet. Technically, I do, that's how I'm posting this, but it only lasts for about 1-3 minutes at a stretch before disconnecting. (It's Verizon Wireless 3G, which worked perfectly for a year, has now been terrible for the last 6 months to where now it's only working slightly)
I can probably get online enough to activate it on my laptop (depending on how long activation takes), but not download any patches
I'm actually leaning towards just buying Gal Civ 2 Complete (or Platinum or whatever), since I missed Twlight (I spent most of the past year playing online games, actually, so haven't played GC2 at all. But since that is no longer an option, I'm going back to my pre-internet life and non-internet games).
Anyway, I can't use Stardock Central to archive the game, since it needs to connect to the internet for a long period (which I can't do). Can I just install Gal Civ 2 from the discs, then copy over the files (I would copy them from my desktop to a flash drive) then activate?
