Are people REALLY this insane?

So I've been delving lately into the massive rabbit-hole that is Encyclopedia Dramatica (I am unsure at the moment if I should praise or shoot the person responsible for the introduction) and I am aware that the site is a parody, but I really just have to ask the question...

Are people really, REALLY that insane? Seriously?

Vampire people, furries, full quiver christians... PEDOBEAR??

You know we all have our bad moments when we feel we've fallen into the darkest pits of madness. It comes with loss, with unexpected hardship, and sometimes just because life isn't what you thought it was.

But I have to say... what madness I think I have felt in my life shrivels and dies in humiliation in comparison to the batshit insanity of some of the people depicted here.

I must wonder... what secrets do the people all around us, people we think we know, hide?
