Ship quality?

What does it do?

Greetings!

I am sure you stumbled apon the "at colonization" event with the starship orbiting the planet with the usual three moral options. If you choose the evil option you attack the ship and interrogate the crew for a big "starship bonus". This bonus aplpies to ship quality. What exactly does it do? Ships build by such a planet seem to have the exact same stats as ships build by other planets. These starship bonus planets do not build ships faster so what does the starship bonus really do?

It's a percentage bonus to attack. You probably don't have powerful enough ships yet to notice any difference, but it's there.
