SLI and GalCiv II: Ultimate Edition issues

For those that might be having problems getting the game to start that utilize SLI, try disabling SLI before you play. I did and now everything is working fine.

Seems there is some sort of compatibility issue with GCII: UE and SLI - for me at least.

Hopefully this will help some other folks out that are having issues.

Yeah I had a similar issue.  Switching from Vista's Aero theme to Vista basic desktop theme is also another option to try.  (on my machine, having Aero and SLI enabled will eventually crash most 3d apps, and often times hard lock the whole machine... I've been involved in some pretty long threads at various hardware forums, and so far it looks like compatability issues between the OS/Drivers/Application)
