yeah, that is my situation. I want to upgrade to WPA (my DS is the only thing holding me back)
My other problem is the DSi is regionlocked. Sure, it may only be for the downloadable content, but that is STILL region locking. The wii locks out my out of region DS games that have wii connectivity, so who know what that could eventually mean for the DSi. People say "oh, the old DS games will not be region locked" but what about the NEW DS games. Games that take advantage of the camura or other such features. downloadable content that uses DS game connectivity or Wii connectivity. These will be region locked, and that is BS.
Region locking is the most stupid idea I have ever heard, and I think I may have to not-buy the DS out of protest. I understand DRM, like there is a logical purpose behind it. I see no reasonable excuse for region locking video games. It used to be a format thing, so your US system didn't fail to play on your PAL TV. And on movies it matters because of licencing. But DS games don't have that problem. They only do it for lawsuit purposes because rating in different regions are different, but that doesn't make sense. nintendo bombards users with more disclaimers than any other company I know. Simply adding "not intended for use outside of its region" should cover that right? What complete BS to deny us access
The only problem, is so few people are going to let that STOP them from buying the DSi that it won't change their minds. And if the DSi only games are actually really good, I'll probebly cave as well. Its not fair
