World of Goo is awesome. Found it a few days ago, finished it Christmas Eve, and loved every bit of it. Although, for me, the ending was important and really made me think.
It was made by 3 guys in a basement somewhere. I'm shocked at the quality.
Actually, it was made by 2 guys in several coffee shops in San Francisco. (the third guy was only there for a small fraction of the development). http://2dboy.com/about.php
I would've bought it through Impulse or Steam, but that only gets you the PC version, and not all of the money goes to the devs. So I bought it direct from their website, getting both the PC and Mac versions (and the Linux one when its released) for the same $20, 100% of which goes to the devs.
I'd recommend this to anyone, whether you're casual or hardcore. I'd definitely call it the Portal of 2008. Not to mention that there's no DRM at all.
I'd post my WoG corp tower height, but I haven't had much time to work on it. Left 4 Dead, Far Cry 2, Audiosurf, Demigod, SoaSE: Entrenchment, Defense Grid, Suicide Survival, TF2, and my replaying of Crysis have been taking up most of my gaming time
