Yeah ... I've figured that out ... thanks anyway.
I've also seen that the overall attitude, regarding these mega events, isn't too far from mine .

Last night I saw this event for the first time and it seemed to misbehave. That is, the PeaceKeepers didn't act like the description said.

The Peacekeepers destroyed the ships, starbases, and asteroid mines I owned - everything. It did the same to at least the races closest to me. "Okay, I thought. No combat for a while so plenty of time to research some kickass weapons before I destroy the bastards."

But 3 races started threatening me for payments since my military was suddenly gone. A few turns later they declared war and started invading my worlds, completely ignored by the Peacekeepers!

I sat there watching slack-jawed as every turn another of my worlds fell as the Drengin went completely unmolested by the fleets of supposed Peacekeepers. I built some new ships which were instantly destroyed by the PK's.

The description of the PK's is that they attack warships outside your own influence area - except everything (all worlds, all ships, starbases, etc) was inside my own influence area. They just attacked everything of mine and the Yor (everyone else was too far out to see). It was like being held down by a bully while he lets random passersby beat the hell out of me.

So to recap:
Everything I owned was destroyed
Everything was in my zone, not out attacking anyone (I will have to check if I was even at war with anyone)
I never attacked the PeaceKeepers, not that I could have hurt them
The PK's let at least a few races through to devastate me and I had no defense against this.

It wasn't a mega-event. It was a supernova F***-You event. Game over!

I see some old posts after searching that in old versions at least some ppl saw this behavior. Anyone have ideas, help, or even confirmation of this behavior? Unfortunately my autosaves are all post-PK so the game is just lost to me. But if someone wants the saved game to investigate, let me know.
