In my reply #1128 i did not once again say you had a keygen. i heard you the first time, i just simply stated that i found it unlikely you bought 5 or 6 copies of the game.

Where did i say you are using a pirate copy? Don't be putting words in my mouth. I accept that you have a legit copy of GC2, i have never motioned otherwise. I suspected you were using a keygen to gain further accounts and as such extra characters. The explanation you gave me does not work and i'm sorry, i simply don't beleive that you bought 5 or 6 copies of GC2/DA/TA.

I haven not mentioned "keygen" for many posts, you keep bringing it up. Why is that?

Either way, even if the method you told me via PM is the way you are gaining extra characters it is still as bad as a key gen and as such i am forwarding all pm's from you along with a summary of these events to Stardock and they can decide what to do with you.

Using the one serial to create multiple accounts, not that i see how, but it is your claim, is or at least i assume against the Term of Agreement/Service/EULA with SD and IMHO you are stealing. Especially when there at least three people on the MV who to gain their second set of characters have laid out money and bought a second copy of DL.

I accept you may not be using a Keygen, ok, i made that clear many posts ago. You still have gained extra characters via another means that deprives SD of income and is of questionable actions.

Well done, neilo for catching a cheater and thanks for your quick actions, Kryo and Cari. I count 16 characters in one account so far and wonder how many others there might be.

While it might appear that the whole empire is tainted as being a ruse, I have a suggestion to heal the wound.  Harborne, I don't think you knew you were cheating, but the fact remains that you did.  You can do the honorable thing and reset the bogus characters.  Promise you won't do it again and perhaps you can regain some sense of honor.

@Kryo - If Harborne agrees to do this, will you relist his empire in the Alt Meta?  I really don't think he did this maliciously.

To be clear: Even if there is some justification for using multiple accounts using the same serial (family, etc), it still can't be allowed. Everyone else must make do with one account shared--that's one of the reasons there are three character slots. As they've done before, those who want more characters can buy additional copies of the game.

Multiple forum accounts are fine in and of themselves, if they're actually different people rather than dummies made expressly for the extra character slots.

To allow this loophole to go unclosed for any reason would just open the door to others who would gladly compromise the integrity of the metaverse for simple gain in rank.

I have no doubt that he played the games fairly.  I wouldn't have taken up his cause had I thought otherwise.  The problem is how the games are scored in the MV, which is something he might not be aware of.  Also, if you're using his serial number to play, you need to be one of his 3 allowed characters.  Only 3 per bought game.  An expansion doesn't count as a seperate game.

I've bought several copies of Galciv2 and can have 3 characters per legitimate copy.  Three of my bought copies are in use as we speak.  Harborne can do the same.  It's a matter of paying for the use of the game.  There are at least 4 of us who have bought multiple copies of the game. 

Kryo has agreed to a compromise.  There might be other suggestions too.  I just hope this can be resolved without anyone getting banned.
