For those of you who are wondering what Star Control 2 is, it's a classic space exploration/combat game with an amazing story.  Some great people have re-released it for free, and I highly recommend checking it out.  The GalCiv team has mentioned referencing Star Control 2 in GalCiv; you may find some fun parallels in the game plot.
