Regarding preordering the expansion and not getting a boxed version, as a reasonable consumer, I wasn't expecting Stardock to do this differently than the last expansion. As a general rule with games/expansions, it is always more satisfying to wait until the "GOTY" or final metal version of the game is released with all updates, all expansions, and maybe some bonus material. Usually I wait, but did not for this game. The only reward one gets from buying at release or preorder is to have the game early, but you get jipped out of the "extras" that publishers use to tap remaining market after release. I am fine with this as I understood it would happen.
Is there any other advantage to us loyal early customers who give money right away other than early play, vs. those who delay satisfaction and get all the nice final cut box version? I'm trying to feel better about my choice
