I'm working on the chapter right now, but its a LONG one (three distinct acts, each one about the length of previous "episodes") so its taking some time.
in the meantime, I give you the Senior Officers of the CSV Cerulean One
please note that one Officer, named earlier, has undergone a slight name change.
if someone is really bright they may even gather where most (all but two) of the names are being derived from
Commodore Calvin "Cal" R. Morave- Commanding Officer of the CSV
Cerulean One. Born on Triton but raised on Ares, Cal Morave originally planned to follow his father in running the family business of a large farming operation they owned. After a severe drought when he was in his teens, his family was forced to sell the land and Cal decided to enter the Union Starfleet in order to pay for schooling. He graduated 3rd out of 650 students in his class. During his first posting, he earned a Commendation for Bravery after leading a rescue of his commanding officer's away team that had come under attack by a group of pirates. He commanded the long range cruiser CSV
Judicious before landing the command of the CSV
Cerulean Two after a special recommendation by Vice Admiral Ardee Moore. His leadership and help during the Attacks on the Old Systems gave him command of the CSV
Cerulean One and promotion to the rank of Commodore. His current assignment is as special dispatch of the Office of the President.
Captain Karl T. Penikett- First Officer aboard the CSV
Cerulean One. Penikett is the youngest person to achieve the rank of Captain, being only of the age of 32. A Heran, Capt. Penikett has a very clear sense of right and wrong. He is very vocal about his disagreement and denouncement of underhanded or duplicitous actions. Before the Attack, he was the commanding officer on board the CSV
Exuberant, a small defense cruiser, that was unable to make the Jump. He and his crew transferred aboard various Union vessels before their escape from the Dread Lords. He was one of seven candidates eventually selected by Captain Morave to replace his

, who left the Fleet after suffering a severe injury after the Jump.
Commander James B. Griffith- Second Officer and Lead Tactical Officer. Star of his class, Commander Griffith was the lead pilot in the Hermian Run for all four of his Academy years, being the only Freshman to even win the race. He turned down offers for various navigational positions, including one where he would have been the lead test pilot for a new class of fighters to instead take the Tactical Officer graduate courses on board the battleship CSV
Renegade. He earned several medals and commendations, including the prestigious Silver Star medal, and two Purple Hearts during various conflicts on Ceres. Griffith has turned down a command of his own three times previously.
Doctor Dan Rhodes (Commander)- Chief Medical Officer. Doctor Rhodes is the only field sanctioned officer aboard the Cerulean One, being that he was formerly a medic with the rank of Ensign, thirty years prior for Fleet Command before leaving to go into private practice. He joined the crew of Cerulean Two as part of Vice President Jacquelyn Hamilton's entourage. After the Attack, he took over the medical bay of Cerulean One and was given the Field Rank of Commander. Dr. Rhodes is especially noted for his knowledge and skill in neurological and spinal injury/surgery.
Legal Secretary Torie Sharma (Lt. Commander)- Chief Liaison for the Office of the President. Torie Sharma studied constitutional law on Cerulean Prime at the elite university, The Arch, before joining the Union Starfleet four years ago. She quickly rose through the ranks of the Judge Advocate General after trying and winning a number of cases derived from the Ceres conflict. She applied to be posted aboard the Cerulean One based on the recommendation of childhood friend, and Cerulean One crew mate, Operations Lt. Wesley Brown (second Operations officer).
Lieutenant Commander Gracie Lynn Park- Science Officer. Longtime friend and confidant of Cal Morave, Lt. Cmdr. Park has served along Morave on all but one of his postings. He tends to trust her insight and opinion more than any other single person. She received the Saturn Medallion for her work on Metaphysics and HyperJump Compatibility Theory. She lost her husband and three-year old son, Walker, in the Attack on Ares.
Lieutenant Alexander Julian- Operations Officer. Lt. Julian has had but one goal throughout most of his teen/adult life and that was to become an officer aboard a starship. Giving up a full ride athletic scholarship he instead chose to enter the Fleet Academy and doggedly pursued his goals. While he earned top marks in all of his courses, he often was marked down in leadership and team-oriented skills. Cerulean Two was his first posting, where he was given the rank of Ensign Junior Grade upon graduation. Lt. Commander Walter Prescott, former Operations Commander aboard the Cerulean Two, decided to mentor Julian and guided him into knowing and being able to lead all aspects of the Operations department. When Lt. Cmdr. Prescott left for a posting aboard another starship, he argued for, and eventually helped earn Julian a promotion to Lieutenant (j.g.). Julian became the Lead Operations Officer, and a full Lieutenant, after the Attack.
Lieutenant Tricia H. DeSoto- Conn (Navigation) Officer. Another veteran of the Hermian Run, though not as accomplished as Commander Griffith. DeSoto was unable to compete in her freshman and sophomore years at the Academy due to health concerns. She did manage to compete and achieve a second place finish her junior year, and a third place finish her senior year. Much later after her senior year race, it was learned that the 1st and 2nd place winners had illegally used spatial hyperjumpers to make their ships go faster. DeSoto was then given the first place medallion but is still listed as the third place winner. Often when the ship is on Third Shift, DeSoto handles both navigational and communication control from her console, thus explaining why she, and not Communications, is often seen notifying Command.
Ensign Kandace MacClure- Communications Officer. A recent Academy graduate, Ensign MacClure is a highly trained linguistic specialist, being to differentiate between all 160 various Union dialects and accents. She is also fluent in 6 historical colonial tongues, including Ancient Promethean which is only spoken by the secret priest caste of that world, of which only 3 survived the Attack.
Chief of Engineering (Lt. Commander) Douglas Aaron. A skilled technician and engineer, Chief Brown graduated with Honors from the Fleet Engineering School, did understudy work at the Heran Fleet Yards, where he also worked on the 'Nova Project', the lead-up design for the battlecruiser CSV
Victorious. He was then promoted to Specialist Engineer of the CSV
Venture, Second Engineer aboard the CSV
Discovery, and later promoted and transferred as Chief Engineer on board Cerulean Two.
