Hello, I've just started playing GalCiv2 with DA and i've played a few easy maps to get the hang of things. I've just started a new game large galaxy, occasional planets with the AI set with a mix of intelligent and genius, max opponents and max minors. I'm liking this setup and i've secured around 6 planets which is about 1 more than mostly everyone else except for those colony rushing Yor collective scum. I must say this is really starting to show me it's true colours as the game is quite tight on economy, which is great because in my easy games I was way too over powered.

I've read lots of suggestions and stragies on this forum and others regarding economy and i'll be putting some of those into effect, however I was wondering if anyone could answer something I couldn't find out. I have most of my planets on 80-90% loyalty except my main planet and one other which are both at 40%. How do I increase the loyalty for those planets? Ive tried putting influence bases right next to them but that has had little effect. I've also tried putting more entertainment on my planets but that also has had little effect. What negative effect to my planets and civilisation does low loyalty give? and what could i do for those 2 planets to make them patriots to my glorious cause.

Any suggestions would be great
