could u all shed some light on eco bases freightor rt increases

Here's the situation. b4 the terrans declared war, my trade income was well over 2k. i had 8 routes going to the alterians and i had roughly 10-12 econo bases(each with the traderoute freightor $$ increase mods) along the freightor trade routes. As soon as the terrans declared war(via one of those diplomatic events that spiral outta control) i now notice that my trade income is around 672$(which i believe is what it was b4 i went hog wild on the econo bases along the trade routes.) my econo bases are still there, and i didn't lose any of my trade routes, so i'm not totally understanding why i lost the money.

can any of you Vets help

1) When your treasury goes over 10k, trade income halves.
2) Some of your freighters simply restarted the trade route (returned to the starting planet and started a new travel).
3) Most of your freighters went out of econ starbase influence zone.
4) You lost all trade routes from Altarians and their friends.

my treasury was over 60k, and the change didn't take place until war with the terrans

2) Some of your freighters simply restarted the trade route (returned to the starting planet and started a new travel).

i was thinking that, but considering that i had over 2k of trade income from roughly 15k to 60k, i know that me freightors had to do at least 2 or 3 trips in there. and from my Basic understanding of these kinda games, an economic improvement is always on.

3) Most of your freighters went out of econ starbase influence zone.

i would feel like i would had seen this before then. like i said, i had 2k worth of income for quite a while. and the econo bases were all bunched up close to my territory, so that i could protect them

nope, i double checked, i had all my trade routes from the altarians, and they were the only ones i was trading with.

Thanx Iztok for replying. you certainaly got me a thinking though. what i'm thinking, i think your closest with #4. i think the war with the terrans(and terrans and the altarians r close friends) dipped into my trade budget, by influencing the trading.

Blockade, Embargo, Trade-In(s) routes from anyone/to your planets instead of your own Trade-Out(s) to anyone??

Sometimes, an Ai route may 'discontinue' according to fresh war conditions which DO affect your network of trader-ships. Although, AFAIC, the event does warn of route losses caused by considerable danger in specific map zones.

Noticed any input variations from some Terran routes? And, i doubt all your trading with everyone BUT the Terran is safely happening outside their area of Influence (map wise, that is)... thus, a sort-of handicap based on decreased values directly tied with the continual access to the unfriendly space.

There is also a number of things which can dip trade routes overall value; Gov switching, Ethic choice, some buildings, etc. Maybe not as much as what's happening above... and yet.

ok i took another look at the traderoutes, and they run on a set number of turns. look in the tradewindow and you'll see something like 2/217 or what ever number there is. as the cycle gets closer to the end, your traderoutes(if u have econo bases along thier path) will skyrocket.

So, what you're saying is that in a sortof "Twilight" kinda way, all if not most of the ongoing trade-routes happened to be on starting turns **simultaneously** at that precise moment in history!?!
Gee, random luck is normally weird enough -- but , it makes sense that the general compiled figure would drop drasticly in such a rare condition.
There's no way to control how fast or when these trader-ships finish their routes to reflect resulting BCs in the budget side of things; distances, directions, ship engines, many factors.

Which is why i always build the upgraded FASTER trade-ships instead of the slower default; it gives me the impression that the routes are optimal and more profitable that way. Yet, short distances & faster results is sometimes useful.
3BCs in 15 turns is certainly less than 2BC in only 5 turns, repetitively.

It's real funny to suddenly realize all trading money gathering depends more on route variable lengths than somehow finalized values... indirectly that is.

could you pls type that again in layman's terms.

i think ur talkin about how the game puts like one seting or issue on all your trade routes over a set time? but i really don't know what your talkin bout m8
