Why is the Altmeta not updating?

Maybe....stop breaking things!

edit: It looks like it updated to me. You are now slightly ahead of TorontoRock, and my empire broke 19 million points.

Hmmm it has been over 24 hours since the Am lasted updated.....perhaps the sheer volume of games being submitted atm...blame me and TorontoRock for that...is overwhelmed the AM?


Running just fine. As noted above I eliminated the midnight update (so only at noon for now) since that seemed to be the more problematic of the two update times. But since I rewrote the update handler it seems to be running fine again. I don't know if it's that or that I complained about the metaverse server on IRC while I was writing it, but everything has been perfect during the last three updates since I rewrote it. So I'll probably go back to twice a day updating.

Yup, meta's acting up again and the new resume code, which I was unable to test since it spontaneously started working fine, isn't getting the job done. I'll poke at it when I get the time.

It seems to have updated to some degree, but one of my characters (Slayer-Churuff) appears to be missing about 8-15 of the ZYW games I've done over the last 2-3 days. Not sure exactly how many, as I dont know what the missing time period is specifically.

Yesterdays' run seems to have finished just fine. As ever, if you suspect something's wrong, check the log that the updater writes. If it doesn't finish with an END line, then something's definitely fishy (right now, it does end with yesterday's END line, so all should be well).

Thank you for the link. What I noticed was that while Wyndstar joined my empire yesterday, he is sitll listed under the HCH on the AltMeta. As for any score changes, I'm not sure if mine updated or not.

Well, the update begins around noon eastern time and when the meta is slow it can take up to half an hour to finish. So it's only just now done for today and should reflect those changes.
