Well, if you have extra time on your hands, just try looking at some of the scripting in the example mod in the Data folder. You'd be surprised how easy it actually is. The hard part is making sure everything lines up so the game won't crash. And if you're not a graphics kind of person, there is always someone around who would like a challenge.
