Essential Mods

Hey I have just started playing GalCiv II a little while ago (won my first challenging game just last night ) and absolutely love the game.

I just came across this page and I was wondering if there are any 'must-have' mods for gal civ II (those of you who have played sim city 4 think the Transport Path Finder Mod).

Haven't come across any essential mods yet. Personally I've been using Kryo's Hull System, which is nice for really designing ships from scratch; it doesn't change the ship design process dramatically though. I'm also playing with Gauntlet's Race Mod, which is certainly fun but again, not essential.

Dunno what the other guys have been playing with.

thankfully, its very playable without any mods but Kryo's Hull Mod is a very good choice as is also LogicSequence's Planet Texture mod. The mods that Stardock found particularly good (not made by, just found of very high quality) have the Stardock-certified symbol next to it.

As with any mods, always make sure you back up your files
