okay, let's start by not even going into too much of the obvious mass-culture ones like Star Trek (seen em all, multiple times, except most of the Vger and DS9, probably everyone has) and Star Wars. And probably in this crowd stuff like Alien(s) and/vs. Predator and B5, which is my personal all-time favorite, especially from mid season 2 thru the end of season 4 but I like them all.
What sci-fi TV/Movie stuff, especially real old or obscure stuff, do you enjoy?
When I was a kid my parents made me go to bed part way thru "Quartermass and the Pit" or as it was called "100 Million Years to Earth" (might have the US marketed title wrong). Always wanted to see the rest of it, and truthfully in my dottering drooling old age all I remember now is the trailer.
The TV series "UFO" on BBC was aired in the states for maybe two seasons back in the 60's or early 70's and was my favorite TV series until the above-mentioned came on in the 90's. I recently got both the "UFO" DVD sets and it still holds up remarkably well 35-40 years later.
Someone should start a thread about books. Since that will be a huge one I will not do it here. Most of what I have read in Sci-Fi novels is real old stuff from the late 70's or earlier anyhow.
