Missing Serial Number

Hi,
I purchased a brand new copy of "Galactic Civilizations II Dread Lords Game of the Year Edition" from a best buy in Canada. I can not find a serial number anywhere. I am experiencing some bugs: cracky sound and freezing during zooming out of the galaxy view. I noticed another member had a similar or the exact same problem. What steps do I need to take to obtain a serial number, I would really like to update the game.

Take the game back to best buy for an exchange of anthour copy and make shure you have the serial number.

Interesting, I just bought the same game "GCII Dread Lords, Game of the Year Edition" from Future Shop in Canada (Vancouver), and I can't find a serial number on it either. Returning opened software probably isn't an option.

Can someone help??
