Techs Required

In my current game when I go to research large scale building it shows the various ships designs that would be available once completed. Of course with eash ship design it lists the "x Other Techs Required". What is puzzling is that they all include "General Life Support" which I do not understand. I already have acheived Extended Life Support.

What am I missing? Is this a bug or something?

IIRC, that list only goes away when ALL techs necessary for building the ship are completed, the only exception being the miniaturization notice. If you are still seeing that list, it means you are still missing at least one of the other techs listed.
