I have never posted here but have a well-worn (very well-worn) copy of GalCiv II Gold Edition on my desk which has been one of my top 3 games since the day it arrived at my local gaming store.

I received an email today from Stardock talking about the Arnor expansion and see that it is available for digital download.

Does this mean it is finished in terms of testing etc. and is the final product? Or is it still a beta?

I tend to wait for a "hard" copy as I like the box, manual, disc etc.

Just wanted to check b/c I am leaving on vacation in 5 days and it is tempting to download the Arnor and start with all the new gaming goodness.

GalCiv II is amazing. IMHO, the design and attentiveness of the development staff is unmatched by any other game maker (big or small).... I have turned about a dozen friends onto the title (the Gold edition) and it is a game I will have for a looonnnngggg time to come (sorry had to give a glowing rant since this is my first chance to do so )
