Hi, rank newbie here, been playing only a day or two, loving it so far. Got a couple more questions if that's ok.

1) I read somewhere that there's a way to send a ship (say, a colony ship) to a planet without having to select the ship and then hunt for the planet on the main screen. Something to do with F1 and F2, but I can't get it to work: when I select a planet and then go to select a ship, the planet gets unselected. Could someone please explain this in detail so I don't mess it up?

2) In the Civilization Manager/Colonies screen, all the way to the left are what look like little planet icons. What do they mean? Also, under class is a number in parantheses -- what's that?
