building an industrial capital on a resource bonus

I was wondering if that is a good, or a bad thing?

The summary screen shows a +33 IP produced on it that it doesn't show if it is built by itself...

But the total produced is lower. (i bought it to replace a regular factory and had my total produced go up to 108... then when i reloaded and bought it to replace a factory sitting on the bonus it went up only to 102...)

So i am wondering if that is an error in the summary screen, or in the main screen... which figure is correct? Am I or am I not getting extra bonuses? and should I even get extra bonuses?

My understanding is that you get no benefit from building a manufacturing capital on a manufacturing bonus tile just as you get no benefit from building a tech capital on a research bonus tile. That's because the building has no production associated with itself, it only multiplies the production (or research in the tech cap case) that's already on the planet.

However the political capital which provides both an influence and a morale bonus by itself *does* receive the appropriate bonus if built on a approval bonus or a influence bonus tile.

it still means something is wrong... since the summery screen does show a bonus (that doesn't get applied)

I haven't heard anything different. I assume the summary screen is still incorrect. There was/is a similar issue on the summary screen where an approval bonus tile adds a 100% benefit when a morale building was placed on it as opposed to doubling the morale bonus of the building itself. Thus the summary screen would show a 140% benefit to a VRC built on a 100% approval bonus tile but the details screen showed the correct morale benefit of 80%.

If it gets fixed anywhere it's most likely to get fixed in TA.
