I have the same problem with no ships showing up in my build screen and I did not select the appearance tab in game. The customraceXML file is created every time i start a new game, without fail, I have tried re-installing the mod but that does not help. Any ideas why this file is created each time? I basically just hit "next" on all the option screens and it deosnt' seem to matter what race I chose.
