Game randomly closes

O know about the first problem, BUT.. i update my video card driver recently(5 days ago) and still game just closes then i play((( haven't such a problem with the beta thou. My PC is 800 Mhz, and i have a video card of 32 MB(pretty old PC i know). also my video card is Radeon. could that be a problem???

Yes, it is probably hardware related.

If you would post the contents of your debug.err file we could better see what exact hardware you have as well as the game version and other important info.

It is located in the main game folder, usually C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 - for Dread Lords.
If you are playing Dark Avatar it will be in C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar.

Just open the file with Notepad, select everything, then copy and paste into the reply box.

Do it just after a crash because the file is recreated each time you start the game.

I would recommend updating your motherboard BIOS, increasing your swapfile to at least 2GB, updating your audio drivers, and get a can of compressed air to blow out any dust that may contribute to overheating.

You really are at the bare minimum for running GalCiv2. So you need to make sure everything is as up to date as possible.

Those audio drivers with a date of 2001 are most likely your main problem.
6 years old, after all...
And your video drivers are over a year old.
