The subspace annihilator has never existed, in DA or in DL. I always thought of it as a research project that fizzles, but that paves the way for doom ray research.

The subspace blaster has always been the way it is, too. I guess it just doesn't work out the way your scientists expected. There is one extremely cool thing about it, though - put it on one ship and watch the visual effect when you use it in combat. I wish that would have been the doom ray weapon effect, instead!
