Hi guys, and welcome to the official thread of the premier Metaverse League team,
the "Blade Runners".

Perhaps as far as talking strategy, we might keep that to a private thread at the core, i believe Mumble is looking into it. Are you signed up at the Core Ghostwes?

Anyone know of any changes to the score multiplier with tech victory. I assume everything is the same, i have not gone for a high score tech game before....

Thanks, Neilo... I am now signed up to the Core. Guess I need to wait for our private forum to be started.

Not sure about those names, frankly, heh. "The Blade Runners" sounds fine, though. One of my favourite films, and starts with a 'B' -- good enough for me!

Or, we could just call ourselves "The Winners of the League". But perhaps that would be getting ahead of ourselves, and might make the other teams feel inadequate compared to us. Justifiably so, but still...

I was thinking along the lines of something simple and catchy. How about "The Vindicators"?

Ahhh the timid words of a frightened few. Tremble in fear of our might, you low pond dwellers, we might throw you some scraps after our terrific championship campaign, but only those of which our dogs won't eat....

Mwaahaaahaaaahaa!!!

Team B, as well as a name we need team captain. I don't care who it is, there duties will be selecting players for different challenges and moderating our private forum at the core. I think all we need do when we are ready is to pm Damoose with the players names and our team name and he will set it up.

I think i should exclude myself from being a team captain, being commissioner is enough.

But seriously when everyone has registered at the Core (or everyone that's going to has) then let me know along with the name of the team and I'll get the private forum set up for you.

Look at those tears, a weakling for sure. He's probably happy that our first assignment is a tech victory because he can't invade planets - he's so weak the gravity would crush his fragile little invertebrate body!

I wasn't too keen on "The Blade Runners" at first, even though I love the movie and have seen it about a gazillion times. However, I found a font based on the movie poster and an image of the origami unicorn that Gaff made toward the end of the film, and I had to try it out. If we go with that team name, here's my first effort at a banner:

Stylish indeed. Just for the banner alone i vote for Blade Runners, i like the red one by the way.

Now that you mention it, I have not seen TGE around the core for a bit either.

The only good thing I can say is that at least PlayJeff keeps all these threads near the top of the most recent list so we don't have to look very far.

Okay, Team B, I have cleaned up the second version of the banner - see below. Let me know what you think.

We need to pick a team name and, apparently, a team captain.

So far, neilo and I agree on "The Blade Runners", and it sounds as though ghostwes is in accord, as well (if not, ghost, let us know!). TGE remains in limbo, I hope we hear from him soon. If the three active members agree on the name, I would say we have a majority vote on that, but I'd like to wait for TGE's input if practical.

We also need to elect a captain. neilo has already declined the position. ghostwes, if you would like to be team captain, I will support you in that. If you want not to be captain, I will volunteer for it.

TGE, please add your input as soon as possible.
