The A-team did a little too well this round.

A true team effort with (I think) the first ever occurance of four individual BP's on the same team and most certainly the first occurance of a sweep of the score bonuses.

but very cool still A Team. Just goes to show how much a team can improve their skills.

How about an update to the OP and the ladder there? The results for rounds 6 and 7 are still missing and it's tiring to search through this whole thread to get the latest scores. Not to mention that I'd like to see an updated total score for the teams.

Whew! Nice to know we're still a bit ahead. I thought we slipped into second place for sure...

The A-Team

Individual BP's = 3 BP's
Average Score = 35,560 = Team Score 2 BP's
Average Speed = 5.25 years
Average Submission = 16
Total Score = 13

The Bladerunners

Individual BP's = 0 BP's
Average Score = 13,170
Average Speed = 2.5 years = Team Speed 1 BP
Average Submission = 8.5 = Team Submission 1 BP
Total Score = 10

The Celestial Crusaders

Individual BP's = 0 BP's
Average Score = 14,585 = Team Score 1 BP
Average Speed = 2.5 years = Team Speed 1 BP
Average Submission = See Explanation*
Total Score = 6

* The Crusaders had by average the second lowest submission time if only taking their submitted games. However, by counting the non-submitted required victory-type games as the last submissions, Team C no longer carried that position. This method was used in the past where late or no-shows were considered to be the final submission to the round. It is something that should have been in the rulebook and once Mumble and I have some time, we'll finesse that.

The Domination of Death

Average Score = 14,235
Average Speed = 4.75 years
Average Submission = 14.5
Total Score = 9

The Eternal Villainy

Individual BP's = 4 BP's
Average Score = 13,527
Average Speed = 1.2 years = Team Speed 2 BP's

The Eternal Villainy is the victor for Round 8


As for Season Two....

And with that out of the way; a big "WOO YAH" to my fellow Villainy teammates for coming from nowhere (literally) and taking the Crown in Season Two. I don't think anyone really expected that out of us at first; the Crusaders were most definitely the team to beat and the A-Team has always been a very strong competitor. We even got off to a very rocky start with me having to submit a Loss on behalf of MottiKhan in Round 4. But instead of pouting, we came back and won in Round 5 and have been running strong ever since! For three rounds I captained the Villainy, and for the last two I've just gotten to enjoy the ride as a "regular joe" and I will say that it's been such an incredible pleasure to play alongside all of you and it is going to be damn strange not playing with you all on the same team in the future. Thanks guys and pat yourself on the back for a job well done

Seriously, congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated in the league and particularly to those who have helped organize it. Winning and losing is secondary; the success of the league, IMHO, is the best thing to come from the competition.

Er... Don't you mean cattily?

Oh. I get it. It's an alliteration. Shades of Spiro T. Agnew whose use of alliteration was legendary.

Some representative examples:

"nattering nabobs of negativism"

"hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history"

And my personal favorite:

"pusillanimous pussyfooters"

Not even sure what that last one means, I just like the sound of it.

Congrats to my fellow Villainy members for yet another round victory and for taking out the season 2 championship!!! Also a big congrats to the MVL as a whole, yet another successful round and although we have our hiccups here's to season 3 and even more success for the Eternal Villainy!!!
