When I made the Light Jewels Mod, I had two other lights in mind, but they required new textures, and I just didn't have the time. I still don't have time for them, but here they are... neon lights! These are solid-colored, differently-shaped versions of the light jewels. They lack the "glare" effect of the other lights, so they don't have a preferred orientation. Included are two new styles for each of the 20 color schemes (yup, that's 40 jewels): a long, think "rod" light and a "ring" light. These both have hardpoints, allowing you to use them to build glowing lattices and other exotic stuctures.
NOTES:
- You do not need to have the Light Jewels Mod to use this one. This mod adds the new lights in the with those of the Light Jewels Mod, but if you don't have that one, they'll just be sitting off in a group of their own;
- I encourage you to pick the lights you like, then delete the others from the .xml file, so you don't have to scroll through all of them every game;
- this mod should (if the .xml files are read in alphabetical order) correct three typographical errors in the first light mod;
- the light colors have the same issues as the first set (vis-a-vis not all being wonderful or unique);
- sometimes the textures will go "weird" in the shipyard interface, and some polygons on one ring will "inherit" the color of another, differently-colored ring. As far as I can tell, this does not happen outside of the shipyard interface.
