Assign custom planet to custom map?

Hello,

Lately i was playing with the milkyway custom map (in dark avatar), but i see that the terran homeworld doesn't look like earth. I've been trying to assign the right aspect to it but with no luck..can anyone explain me how i can make it look like earth both from space and in the surface screen?

I don't believe custom terrain/textures can be assigned on premade maps.

Kryo, how does it generally work with custom planets along with maps? could find docu on that either.
What's the deal with startype=7 (sol)?
Btw, you haven't come across an answer to my satellite question?

What exactly do you mean?

What's the deal with startype=7 (sol)?

I'm not sure why there's a startype for Sol, as it seems to not be used. So it's probably just vestigal data.

I did forget to forward that other question to Cari, sorry, but I did just do so now. Hopefully she'll address it if she gets a chance.

There isn't one that I'm aware of. If there is, it has not been documented or used at all anywhere (which lends credence to the 'there isn't one' theory).

Which would mean the user cannot setup an "Earth" in a custom map?
The first feature request on implementing customplanets.xml already came in, there wouldn't be such feature if I got your point?
