If you could put together an elite team of game developers to do a project, who would it be? And what would the game be? Here's my idea:
The Game
Concept: A multi-genre title that combines turn based 4X gaming, RTS, 1st person shooting and simulation.
Game Flow: The player would start out in a 4x game like Civilization (it would be on earth). Their goal would be to advance through time to eventually discovering FTL travel. Battles between nations would play out in an RTS mode. During the RTS mode the player could take over a ground unit and control it directly (allowing the player to participate in the battle like in a FPS). If they chose a vehicle, it would become a simulation.
Streamlined and simplified controls would mean that it would not be difficult to play in any mode. Once the player's civilization discovers FTL, they go into space and the game becomes more like GalCiv.
