Good morning all. Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but I didn't see anything relating to SDC having 'issues' so here goes...
I tried logging on to SDC yesterday in order to get the latest build for DA. Log on went fine and there was some sort of new update that SDC went through for a few minutes before telling me that SDC needed to restart for some of the changes to take effect. I did this of course and then whenever SDC tried to restart I began getting the error of failing to connect. Now I checked all antivirus and spyware/adware programs that I may have and nothing is blocking SDC from access, or vice versa or however the hell this stuff works... there's nothing on my end which would be stopping SDC from logging on, especially if it logged on the first time and updated itself.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice to no avail (although now I wonder if it affected my game at all since I experienced my first CTD since upgrading my RAM... something I thought I nixed with the upgrade   ). Anyhow, I am now downloading SDC fresh as I type and am hoping that this will 'fix' whatever is wrong. Has anyone else experienced similar? I haven't used SDC for at least a month or so, maybe that has something to do with my problem by way of 'missed updates' or something. Any help would be appreciated at this point.
