Alantians and Dread Lords!
I know that someone has already to an epic story before, that's were i got my idea from, so please bare with me here.
The Altarians told the story of 2 powerful races that fought a desperate civil war across the galaxy, The Dread Lords and Arnor. but because all they had to base this story on were lost ruins and artefacts, they never knew about the 3rd galactic race. Here is the true story...
Long ago 3 galactic races fought a desperate war across the UNIVERSE. The Grand Alantians and Arnor defended themselves against the evil Dread Lords. The fighting was fierce but they would not give up, finally the Arnor sacrificed themselves to save their beloved children from destruction. Their last words to the Alantians were "they are still young and naive, take care of them." keeping to their word the Alantians erased all evidence of their existence. later the young children races found means of traversing the galaxy relatively quickly, hyper drive!
When the war broke out between the Terrans and the Drengin, the Alantians were forced to reveal themselves. They setting up perimeter around their empire boundaries so that no one could get close enough to scan them and found out the truth of their existence.
But this was short lived because of the Drengin's actions that lead to the return of the Dread Lords! Once again the Alantians would have to go to war, but this time with no allies!

To begin with the Alantians created an array of ships, moving quickly they established a firm foothold in this section of the galaxy and outlined their empire's boundaries with military starbases so that no one would compete for planets inside their boundaries. After about a year Alantians were shocked to hear that 2 races had already fallen before the might of the Dread Lords, Iconians and Draths. After hearing this news taxes were raised to aid the war effort and it was ordered that an army be created to defend against possible future attacks against the Alantians. In the mist of crisis Alantians were discovered by the Humans who also knew the Altarians and together had signed a treaty to ally against the dread lords. By now the Alantians had a proud military of Phase Fighters and Phase Corvettes, but when the Dread Lords finally came they spared now one as they pillage planet after planet, ship after ship. Phase Fighter had almost no affect what so ever, the only thing that kept them a bay was the fact that the Altarians and Humans had come to their aid. It was immediately decided that Alantians would join the Alliance. 1000 years exile had made the Dread Lords Extremely strong. After 2 years new ships were constructed, The Black Hammer (Medium class ship) and the Battle Brick (also a medium class ship). this opened a new realm of combat that must have taken the dread lords by surprise, the New Alantian ships Manage to take out 2 Dread Lord Escorts before falling pray to a small Dread lord Fleet. After this assault made by the Alantians the Dread Lords started to pick on lesser races again, the Dark Yor fell very soon after the dread lords stopped attacking. After 9 week war was made against the Drengin when they attack a Terran Transport ship and to make matters worse the Dread Lords had turned their attention to the Terran Alliance! The Alantians Sent what ships they could and aid package of 2000 Bc create some ship to hold the line whilst the Alantian ships made their way to the front. But the ships, before they could reach the Terran's empire boundaries, were intercepted and destroyed by Dread Lord Forces. These was indeed a dark day. Research was conducted to create larger vessels and 1/2 a year later was completed, now the Alantians could create vessels of all classes, this is were my personal Command Ship comes in. My vessel was the only one of its kind and it packed a punch, it managed to take out a fleet of two Dread Lord escorts and a Drengin Fleet, although it took major damage this brought the hope that we might make it through this. 1 week later the Yor were destroyed. To ensure the Terrans didn't die the Alantians gave one planet to them, a class 19. The war was going well thus far, new Tec were on the way, and the Alantian navy was reaching its peak.
New Ships included Grand Fighters, Grand corvettes, Twin-beam cruisers, missile cruisers, guns cruisers, bombardment frigates, Command Ships and Red Raven (My personal Command Ship). it was decided that new was the time to strike, the Dread Lords! The Alantians Sent in 5 Fleets, 4 were smaller then the 5th coz my cruiser was stronger than an average command ship. Each of the fleets contained 10 Grand Fighters, 5 Grand Corvettes, 2 Missile cruisers, 2 Twin Beam cruisers, 2 Guns cruisers, 2 bombardment Frigates and 1 Command ship. This was a force that would reshape the interstellar cartography of our galaxy. The mistake was underestimating the size of the dread lord armies, before 10 turns were up all fleets were destroyed, the dread lords were using huge ships with incredible fire power. Only my ship and 2 grand corvettes survived the blood shed. It would be a long time before the Alantians were going try that again. After the conflict the dread lord sent in fleet after fleet. The Alantians sent a New Vessel, The Star Scape colony ship to find an ‘out of the way’ planet were the dread lord couldn't find us and it was there the Alantians relocated their capital city. Over 2 year every race apart from the Snilth, Altarian and Korx were destroyed along with all 25 of the Alantian planets. But 2 Alantian planets (Found by the Star Scape) in the very Corner of the galaxy survived. This is were the Alantian wracked their brains researching until they reached the end of their Tec ladder. All other ships were deleted from memory and a whole new array of ships were created. New War Liner Troop ships made a quick and decisive attack on 4 Dread Lord Planets. All four were captured. New Glory Fighters, Glory Corvettes, Battle cruisers, Assault Frigates, and Upgraded Command ship made short work of the dread lord scum. Now the war really heated up because the dread lords started using the same ships you see in the starting movie of Galactic Civilizations 2: Dread Lords. A new Weapon was created to combat this, the Ion Array super Weapon. With this new fire power the Alantians managed to save the Altarian and Korx from destruction and wipe out the dread lords once and for all. Unfortunately the Snilth were killed. Through the hard work of our brave military I witnessed our civilizations finest moment, the Galaxy is ours.
Now I have finished my story. I’ll try and upload the set I used to eradicate the Dread Lords so that you can use them too.
Keep in mind though, Alantian Ship must use Drengin style ship chassis to work. They look really good when you have them in deep blue.
