Hey all! Brand spanking new to the game (got it yesterday, as a matter of fact), and I’m loving it. I have a silly question though. After doing a forum search, I can’t seem to find the answer to.

Is there a way to upgrade an individual ships specific components without having to totally reconstruct the schematic for the ship?

See, I’m playing a game now, it’s kind of early in the game, I haven’t done too much in the way of ship research, so my starting flag ship is really the biggest, baddest ship out there. I just got new engines and wanted to upgrade the engines on my flag ship, but it seems the only way I can do that is by totally recreating the ships design, the only problem is, I don’t have any medium ships with the sensors needed to discover anomalies, so I can’t make a new design. Is there a way that I can just swap out my flagships engines with the new faster ones?
