Custom Race in MyGames

Hi,

Can someone help me understand how to get by the fact that if you click on a customization tab in DA it automatically creates a CustomRaceXML file, this file then changes the module style of the race to 0 so in that file it states < ModuleStyle > 0 < /ModuleStyle > which then makes it so you can't use a ship hull, and we can't make all the ships use Module style 0.

A developers reply would be greatly appreciated.

The module style listed in the customracexml file will be the same as it was for whatever race you played as or based your new one on. Zero is a valid value for it (it's the terran style).

I know, but I'm 100% sure that it is changing it. I have some of the races set to use S33 - if you click on the Appearance Tab when selecting your race, it creates a CustomRaceXML file in the MyGames\GC2DarkAvatar folder and that file has the module style set to 0 - I have tried this several times, and made sure that the mile in the base/original raceconfig file for the mod is set to 33 (or the respective choice)

BUG FOR SHIP HULLS NOT APPEARING:

If you click on the "APPEARANCE" Tab after selecting your race the following happens, this is a hardcoded bug, we can not change this, it would have to change in the programming.

I have confirmed that this is indeed the bug. It creates a CUSTOMRACEXML file automatically that has the ModuleStyle set to 0 - since NO race in the game uses ModuleStyle 0 - it makes it so no hulls are useable. but if you have NotePad
(or any text editor) you can test and see this yourself before confirming if you'd like. We unfortunately can do nothing about this because its HARDCODED - Its a programming bug, not ours.

Everything works fine as long as you DO NOT CLICK ON THE APPEARANCE TAB.
