Remember the Warlords series from SSG? Basically an fantasy version of the Empire games, but with heroes? The last one (IV) didn't do so well?
Well, they (or half of them, Infinite Interactive, Steve Fawkner's split off company) are back with a new game, but this time it's a little different. It's an RPG set in the Warlords universe. But it's not the usual sort of PC RPG. It's a puzzle RPG. Basically, it's an RPG, but instead of your normal turn based combat where you roll to hit and all that, you fight via puzzles. Matching puzzled like Bejewelled.
Anyway, it's coming out this week for the DS and PSP (the handhelds, and actually now out in Europe and Australia), but will be coming out later for the PC and Xbox 360 (via XBLA). You can however download a demo right now from gamedaily.com.
I would provide a link, but they seem to forbid direct links on gamedaily unless it's from google, so just go to that and do a search for "Puzzle Quest Demo" and it's the first link. It's about 35 megabytes, so pretty small, and lets you play the first chapter and level up to 7.
If sales go well, they'll be able to make a proper Warlords V.
