Hello, I searched the forum and found a few (older) threads that have talked about this, but I didn't see anything that had an answer, so I'm sorry if I'm reviving a dead horse. Now, about carriers ... just kidding.

Roughly 1/3 of the time that I save a new ship, either made from scratch, upgrading one that I have saved as a ship design, or upgrading one from a template design, the game creates a template design of the new ship, even though the create template box(or whatever the exact name is)is not selected.

I've found through testing that if I select the create template box, then deselect it, then I don't get any new, random templates. This isn't a big problem, my game doesn't crash, and there's really no problem at all except having to clean out my templates every so often.

I have DL and DA, and play with a few merged mods, (kyros, a bunch of ST and B5 Hulls that I took from their respective mods and added as jewelry, some new weapons, etc.) I can list everything that's changed in all of my mods, but all they do is add jewelry or other ship components. I have whatever version is right before 1.50X.068, so that could be my problem, but I'd like to finish my game before I upgrade. I always have a fear that patching will cause me to start over and I think I might just win this one. (it's a cinderella story).

I love DA, and wish I had more time to play in between keeping professors, landlords, bosses, and my girlfriend happy, and honestly I don't mind having to delete templates, as I get rid of most of my ugly designs anyway like they were drunken bad decisions.

I'm not sure how to post my debug report or anything for the game like I've seen others do, and I don't know what exectly would be helpful to show anyway for this minor bug. I'm just putting it out there. Thanks for the great game SD, and I'm sorry again, if I'm resurrecting an old nightmare.
