Hi everyone. Way back in August I started working on changing some of the star graphics to make them look a bit more natural/vibrant in the game. For myself, the Purple and Green Stars just didn't seem to fit in as well. I finally finished them up (and I also updated the White & Red Stars too). The mod should be available as soon as Kyro can approve it.
I'll post some pictures, and then the contents of the readme below them.

To Install:

Just drop the "Install Stars" executable into:
\\My Dcouments\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\
and then double click. Done!

Are they Metaverse compatible?

Yes, if they are installed as stated.

Mod Purpose?

1. Changed the Green Star's to have more of a plasma effect (appears to burn
hotter), and fit in better with the galaxy.

2. Changed the Purple Star's to have more of a plasma effect (appears to burn
hotter), and fit in better with the galaxy.

3. Changed the Red Star's so they have almost no orange (easier to distinguish
from Organe Stars).

4. Changed White Stars so they have no blue, and have more definition. You
can see them churning from a little bit further away now.

5. Please keep in mind if you start a new game and the stars don't look exactly
like my screenshots, it's because there are 2 random settings with 100 degrees
of flexability. This means stars have 10,000 tiny degrees of variability.

What if I don't like it or want to uninstall it?

Just delete the files that were added out of
\\My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\Gfx\Stars

Special Note:

In the screenshots you'll see a different corona effect. This is from
LogicSequence's excellent Hi-Res mod which is also available on the Gal Civ
library. If you extract his mod, you can take the corona files (*Halo.png)
and drop them into \\My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\Gfx\Stars
