Speed bonus's

Hi All

I was playing DA and I had speed bonus's on my ships so without me adding any engines to my ships they moved 3 spaces. I added a warp engine which has a speed of 3 now I would think my ships should move 6 correct. However, it only moves 4. Is this another design of the game or a bug of some sort. Another ship I have two warp engines on and that moves 9 so I'm trying to find out why. The ship that only moves 4 is a small ship and the medium ship moves 9. Is there a speed limit on small ships?

Sounds like a bug. Care to post the exact stats for the two ships and what components you have on them? If you've researched impulse and warp drives you should have a +2 speed boost, making your ships have a "base" speed of 3 as you described. Adding a warp drive to any ship should give it +3 speed. Are you actually put a warp drive on the small ship? If you put an ion drive on it, it would have a speed of 4. Otherwise it's a bug, or I'm missing something.

Thanks I figured out my problem. I had an older model ship which had an Ion drive and I had though I put a warp drive on it. That would explain why it was only moving 4. Thank you all you had to do is remind me to actually look at the ship specs.
