Mouse "stuck" near top of screen in DA

Game completely unplayable like this!

I hadn't tried DA since one of the first betas, and certainly not since I installed Vista.

Today I decided that now that it is finished, I'd give it a shot. First thing right out of the box, during the splash screen, I notice the mouse "sticks" to the top of the screen. It continued to do this at the main menu, and I had to use Alt-F4 to exit the game since I couldn't even mouse down to "quit"...

When it does this, the mouse will move a little bit, then snap back to the top. The whole time, it is flickering back and forth between the Vista cursor and the DA cursor.

I'm not sure whatsup, but I certainly can't play the game like this.

My system:
Vista Premium
AMD Opteron 170 (dual core), 2gb Ram, 2.8ghz.
DFI LanParty UT NF4-Ultra D motheboard.
ATI x850xt PCIe video card, 256mb.
Logitech Cordless Optical mouse LX-5.

If any more info is needed, feel free to ask. Everything else works fine on this system.

Try going to My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2, opening the file prefs.ini, and making the following changes:

Change
DisplayWidth=1024
DisplayHeight=768
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=1

To
DisplayWidth=(Your desktop width)
DisplayHeight=(Your desktop height)
ColorDepth=32
Fullscreen=0

Then save the file and start the game.

Well, that whole not-full-screen bit wasn't such a good idea (especially with the same resolution as my desktop)... However, just setting the Weidth & Height by itself seems to have kicked it in the keister, and I'm not getting the glitch now, even in fullscreen mode (which is how games are meant to be played).
