Im sure its too late for a last minute-minor tweak to the expansion pack? Been playing the betas since they were released and LOVE the improvements so far. Absolutely excellent.
What irks me, is it seems the AI places more emphasis on Alliances this time around. I usually play a Neutral, high diplomatic-econ. race through a majority of the game and then about a little more than halfway through after the other civs have fought eachother to the brink of extinction ill work my way in one at a time picking them off either militarily or influentially. The problem with this strategy is that about halfway through the game, once everyone has the alliance tech..they all go ape shit. Youll have almost every single race allied to 3-4 other races and then a constant, no-end and all-out galactic war. Usually this wont bother me if im still in my neutral state, cause i can still reap the benefits of being able to trade with everyone and support my friends behind the scenes.
Anyways, my question is can we please have a beginning of the game option to 'disable alliances'. I lovelovelove that we can disable surrendering and tech trading, but i feel like alliances sometimes get overused and muck up the game just like those other two options do.
Any help on getting around this issue or a nod of approval for a future idea for the game from the devs?
