There was something exceedingly strange about the last game I played. As usual, I was my own custom race, set alone against 8 other races with crippling difficulty, in a gigantic universe. My initial position was very profitable and I dominated up trough mid-game as chief technologist and pacifist, and never acquired more planets than in the initial colony rush.

While the others were struggling for control trough conquest, I noticed that every single race that fell surrendered to the Altarians. This happened regardless if they were close friends or at war with them. In the end, the Altarians became extremely strong and dominated the entire galaxy in a matter of a year.

In the end, 4 civs fell and all surrendered to the Altarians. Assuming equal probability, the odds of this happening to due to chance are 1 in 3024 games.

I have never seen this before. Is it a bug?
