I have created a scenario in which I am a custom race. All other civilizations are on a team, and all are at war with me, including the dread lords. Note that it is set to suicidial. In a huge galaxy, I started far enough away so that I could easily grab a good 1/5 of the galaxy, which is was really useful. Then about seven months in, my scout ships started noticing that everyone was starting to make transports and warships. I beefed up my defenses into huge fleets. I have over a thousand ships in ten main fleets. I'm not sure how, but my economy is still making money. Then the attacks started, in three weeks I had gone from no shots being fired to all races fully attacking me. My ships dropped like fleas, but I apparently beat back their first attack. Two months later , all sorts of transports and escorts and fleets poured in at a huge rate. I tried to stop them, but my fleets were hugely damaged, thanks to masive Dread Lord fleets. (I have never before seen Dread Lord ships in big fleets.) I lost over forty planets in the initial attack.
Now things have slowed down again, three months after losing those planets, my fleets are tattered, and I have had to regroup them into just three fleets, each with about a hundred ships. I control less than thirty planets and add to all of this, my economy is dead. I have no trade and am losing 500bc a week, which is a lot when my treasury is at 2000bc. The Torians, altarians, drengin and dread lords all have transports and huge fleets lined up on my border.
Is it too late for me? Should I have tried to attack other civs earlier? I'm afraid that there is no defense left. Any suggestions?
