Re-opened by popular demand, we will stop accepting new beta testers today at 4:30pm ET. If you miss this window, you'll have to wait until Dark Avatar's release.

Nuts! Also did not know the beta was open. Was going to preorder tonight to get the Beta but will wait now until it goes GA. Double Rats!

Hmm, that sucks. I preordered in December using the special discount coupon but I had thought the beta entry period had already passed; then I come by and read this today. Blah =P Would have appreciated an email sent out from support regarding the reopening of the Beta, or perhaps a slightly earlier announcement of the reopening(since Stardock obviously emails me about other things). But, ah well, assuming the game launches on time, February isn't really that long to wait. Have fun in the Beta everyone (else)!

OK so I'm a little bitter.

If you already preordered, you should have a DA serial you can use regardless of the fact that new orders are not getting them any longer. If it doesn't show as downloadable in SDC already, try the serial request to see if there's one on your account, and if that doesn't show one, contact support.

I pre-ordered DA back in Nov. 2006 but wanted to play a v1.2 game with ~500 planets first (still in progress). I was planning to play DA once I completed this game. So is downloading DA closed to everyone or just new pre-orders? I recall the target release of DA was Feb. 2007, is this still the case and are we talking early, mid, or late Feb?
