Enemy ship configuration

I can't find any way to discover precisely what a enemy ship is made up of, either in the combat viewer or the spy reports

I can see what techs they have (in the spy reports, I have tech trading off), but don't seem to be able to find precisely what they are using in the ships I am shooting down. Is it there somewhere ?

I don't think there is a way to do this.

Once you have a decent espionage level(not sure exactly which level), you can double click their ships just like your own and see what components are installed.

Yup, select a ship and click "details."
